MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police are searching for a suspect who’s believed to be responsible for a series of armed robberies in northeast Memphis overnight.

The robberies happened between midnight and 2 a.m. Tuesday.

At 12:45 the Motel 6 at 2889 Old Austin Peay reported a suspicious person walking around their lot and looking into the lobby and wearing something white around his neck.

At 12:49 a.m., a clerk at the Sleep Inn at 2855 Old Austin Peay was robbed by a man who walked into the lobby wearing a white bandana.

Around 1:24 a.m. a man with a gun and a white t-shirt around his face entered the lobby of the Rodeway Inn at 1321 Sycamore View and tried to get into the office, but the door was locked.

At 1:36 a.m., a man with something white over his face and with a gun tried to get into the Delta Express at 2100 Sycamore View, but the door was locked.

Lastly, at 1:36 a.m. a man match the other descriptions and armed walked into the  All In One/Burger King and forced the cashier to open the drawer and give him the money inside.

Police say the suspect got away in a gray sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Impala.
