One person shot at Memphis nightclub

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police are searching for the gunman who fired several shots outside a popular nightclub near Memphis International Airport overnight.

One of those shots hit a person who is in non-critical condition.

Police were called to Pure Passion on East Brooks Road around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday after someone fired shots in the parking lot.

Initially, paramedics couldn’t find any victims at the scene — but police say a victim later showed up at the Regional Medical Center.

So far, police haven’t released a description of the gunman.

They’re asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.

This isn’t the first time officers have been called to Pure Passion.

According to our archives, there have been at least two shootings in the club’s parking lot.

Four people were injured in a November 2014 shooting and a man died in April 2012 after being shot outside the club.
