JONESBORO, Ark. — A woman from Jonesboro was arrested and charged after she reportedly tried to run over her cheating husband with an SUV.

Cora Jones, 39, told police she had caught her husband cheating on her and went to confront him.

When she did, Jones said he gathered up his things and left.

That was apparently the wrong move.

Jones became so angered, she jumped into her Mercury Mountaineer, followed him and then “attempted to run him over with the vehicle,” KAIT reported the affidavit as saying.

When officers went to arrest her, Jones reportedly asked for police to grab her purse out of the vehicle.

It was soon discovered she had two morphine pills inside it.

She now faces aggravated assault and drug possession charges.

If convicted she could face up to six years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
