(Millington, TN) Thirty-two year old Millington mother Brandi Jackson is facing charges of child abuse and child neglect and endangerment, after what police say they found at her Millington home Saturday night.

Police were called to the home because there were reports Jackson was arguing with her 11-year-old son.

“When we got there and started investigating, the child was in the street and mother was on the porch. Somehow, the officers got around to the children,, and the child had alcohol on her breath,” said Inspector Charlie Coleman with Millington Police.

Coleman is talking about Jackson’s two-year-old daughter who was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. .

Jackson was put in handcuffs after she gave them her story of how this happened.

“They said they might have had a beer bottle that the child thought was his bottle. That’s disturbing. I can’t imagine that for one thing. How do you leave out something somewhere he can get his hands on it,” said Inspector Coleman.

Jackson was released on a $10,000 bond Monday and in court Tuesday morning, where the judge bound her case over to a grand jury.

Not only do Millington Police have their eyebrows raised, but so does the Tennessee Department of Children Services.

Jackson’s three children have been placed with a family member while they investigate over the next 60 days.

They say this is not  the first time they have investigated Jackson.

“If they’re not going to take care of their children, then let’s get them to somebody that can, that wants to,” added Coleman.
