Poor Parenting Increases Child’s Risk Of Being Bullied

(Memphis) A new study is shedding light on bullying.

The study shows poor parenting, including overprotecting your child, increases their risk of being bullied.

Researchers analyzed 70 studies of more than 200,000 children.

They found negative parenting, including abuse and neglect, increases a child`s chances of both being a bully and of being a victim.

Researchers say parents who try to shield their children from all negative experiences may prevent their children from learning how to deal with bullies on their own, making them more vulnerable.
