MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A career fair aimed at getting certified Pre-K teachers back to work is in the works for later this week.

According to reports, Porter-Leath is scheduled to host a job fair this Thursday, July 23 for men and women looking to make a difference in the lives of today’s students.

“This is a great opportunity for people with a passion and desire to make a difference in the community. They will help Porter-Leath children become kindergarten ready- emotionally, academically and socially,” said Karen Harrell, Vice President of Early Childhood Services.

All candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Eaerly CHildhood Education or a related field plus a teaching license.

Porter-Leath said they offer a competitive salary, professional development plants, career advancement opportunities, and a 401k or 403b retirement plan.

Thursday’s job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Douglass Head Start, 1600 Ash Street.
