(Memphis) The Memphis City Council dedicated Elvis Presley Boulevard (between Alcy and Norris Road) as Mr. William Gandy Sr. Boulevard.
This in honor of Mr. William Gandy, Sr., who owned Gandy’s Beauty & Style Shop, located at 2377 Elvis Presley Boulevard, for more than 45 years.
At 9 a.m. on Monday morning, there will be guest speakers, including city councilwoman Wanda Halbert and attorney Raumesh Akbari, at the building on the corner of Alcy and Elvis Presley, across from the Mapco.
