LOS ANGELES — Prosecutors announced on Wednesday they will not be filing charges against Caitlyn Jenner for a deadly crash back in February.
According to the LA Times, Jenner applied her brakes 4.2 seconds before the crash and was driving below the speed limit.
With that evidence in mind, prosecutors said it would not be able to prove in court Jenner was responsible for the crash.
WREG has been following this case since the incident occurred.
Authorities said Jenner was driving a sport utility vehicle on February 7 when it slammed into two cars on Pacific Coast Highway, pushing a Lexus driven by Kim Howe into oncoming traffic.
Howe, 69, died from her injuries.
Jenner released a statement after the accident expressing sympathies to everyone involved.
“It is a devastating tragedy,” the statement said. “I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them.”
