(Memphis)  Memphis radio station KIX 106 is teaming up with hundreds of other stations across the country to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The country music station will be taking donations Wednesday and Thursday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

This is the 24th year for the Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon. It has raised more than $440 million for the hospital, which specializes in finding cures and treating childhood cancers and other diseases.

“Year in and year out, we are amazed at how giving people in the Mid-South are,” said Duane, the co-host of KIX 106’s morning drive time program.

The station is asking each of its listeners to donate $20 a month to St. Jude — a small price to pay for the life-saving programs it helps fund.

“There are people just down the street, parents and children that are dealing with these catastrophic diseases, with childhood cancers,” said Abby, Duane’s co-host.

You can donate by calling 1-800-411-9898.

“We are so blessed. If we can just give 66 cents a day, $20 a month and make miracles happen, that’s such a small thing.” said Abby.
