Resurrection Health opening two new clinics in Frayser

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — More healthcare options are coming to Frayser.

Health service organization Resurrection Health is not even a year old yet, but it is already expanding.

The need is great. Frayser residents like Sheryl Walker said they are excited for two new health care clinics to open in their area.

“There’s not a lot to do for those without insurance,” Walker said.

Resurrection Health is a faith-based organization. Doctors even pray with their patients.

Dr. Pepperman also co-founded Christ Community Health Services.

It launched last December. There are two locations open now and an expansion coming in January.

Resurrection Health will be opening two new clinics next year, one at the intersection of Range Line Road and Frayser Boulevard.

“There’s another one on Whitney that’s in Frayser as well that might be here early next year, in January hopefully,” Pepperman said.

Resurrection does not receive federal funding, so it relies on a lot of grants and donations to achieve its goal of treating low income patients.

“We are still struggling to figure out how we make sure that we can see as many of the patients without insurance as possible.”

Pepperman said Frayser is the perfect area to expand, and he hopes they will be able to make an impact.

“We’re opening in places where there’s a big patient need. So hopefully the flow of patients will come in, but we could use all the help we can get.”

Resurrection Health is also partnering with Alliance Healthcare Services to provide mental health and primary care services at locations in Whitehaven and Frayser.
