RIPLEY, Tenn. — The woman who left her niece in a hot vehicle in a Ripley, Tennessee Walmart parking lot appeared in court on Friday.
Angela Williams learned her case would be handed over the grand jury who is expected to meet October 5.
If indicted Williams would be back in court October 12.
She was also released on bond.
WREG first reported the story back in June.
According to reports, Williams was charged with felony child neglect after she left her 6-month-old niece in the back seat of a car.
We still don’t know how long the baby was left alone, but she was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Despite being dehydrated, the baby appeared to be fine.
DCS is investigating.
