GERMANTOWN, Tenn. — The City of Germantown announced it would be closing several roads this weekend as runners take to the streets.

The WINGS Cancer Foundation is set to host “WINGS on the Wolf” 5k Run/Walk and Family Fun Run Saturday, June 20.

The race itself begins at 7:30 a.m., but the city said Wolf River, between Kimbrough Road and Farmington Boulevard, will be closed bright and early at 4 a.m.

Germantown Police will be in the area to direct traffic along the 5k routes.

Runners and organizers are expected to be out of the area by 2 p.m.

If possible, avoid the area.
