(Memphis) The search is on for two suspects who shot a man outside the McDonalds on Germantown Parkway at Trinity Sunday afternoon around 4pm. The victim was hit in the stomach by the bullets.

“I was walking back into the store over there and I heard like four bangs. I thought it was just a backfire or something,” said a witness who didn’t want to be identified Sunday.

“I heard somebody scream and I saw two guys run right over here. They got in some car and pulled off,” he added.

Memphis Police believe the victim was meeting someone at the McDonald’s to buy a phone from a Craigslist ad. It’s not clear what led to a shooting between the victim and two suspects. The suspects were seen running across the parking lot and getting in a red or burgundy SUV.

“I don’t ever shop Craig’s list. I’ve heard some terrible horror stories about it,” said Cindy Piechorowski who was shopping in the area at the time.

The victim was rushed to the MED in critical condition. Police spent time interviewing several witnesses that were in the McDonald’s parking lot where the shooting happened.

Memphis Police advised there was a similar robbery at a McDonald’s Saturday. They are not sure if the two robberies are connected.

Police have not released information about the victim. They are asking anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at 528-CASH.
