SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — Members of Dr. King’s fraternity Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated held a prayer and scholarship breakfast in his honor Saturday morning.
The event was hosted by the Northwest Mississippi Association of Alpha Men.
Brown Baptist Church Pastor Bartholomew Orr was honored with an award for hit outstanding community service.
Recently, Pastor Orr and his congregation made a $10,000 donation to the Memphis Health Center, which provides healthcare to the undeserved and uninsured in Memphis.
