Scouts collecting cereal for Mid-South Food Bank

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Boy Scouts will be collecting cereal and other breakfast foods for kids in the Mid-South.

Boxes of cereal, cereal bars, boxed oatmeal and pop tarts will be accepted and donated to the Mid-South Food Bank.

You can also donate money.

The Scouts say $1 equals 17 servings of cereal.

Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital employees will join the Scouts Friday June 5 at the corner of Poplar and Dunlap to accept donations.

They will be there from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Boy Scouts of America have pledged to collect 65,000 servings during this years campaign.
