SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a body that was discovered in northeast Shelby County.
A sheriff’s office spokesman confirmed the body was found by construction workers on a job site in the 5000 block of Egypt Central Road near Brownsville Road at around 6:15 Monday night.
Neighbors told WREG crews have clearing a wooded area there for about three months.
SCSO has not said if they suspect foul play or how long they think the body may have been there. This is a developing story.
