SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — Authorities identified the victim in a deadly Southeast Shelby County shooting.

According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, Preston Williams, 18, died after being shot at the Ashland Lakes Apartments on Sunday.

First responders made the scene in the 5500 block of Shakespeare Drive around 2:15 p.m. Sunday.

Deputies said this in an ongoing homicide investigation.
