MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing elderly man who may still be wearing his security guard uniform.
SCSO says that Curtis Harris, 81, was last seen in the area of American Way & Getwell Road on Wednesday, December 18. He may have been in a blue, Dodge Ram, single cab truck.
Family members say he was last seen at the Ten Mile Creek apartments, where he works as a security guard.
Harris reportedly left around 8 PM for food, but never made it back.
“This is crazy, we’re going insane not knowing,” Harris’s stepdaughter Selesia Simon said. “You can’t eat, you can’t sleep. You’ve got to force yourself to sleep and eat but how can you. It’s hard.”
Harris’s family is pleading for someone to come forward with information.
“If you had someone in your family, a loved one or somebody missing, you would want somebody to call in,” Simon said.
