MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office has released the names and pictures of individuals they said failed to appear for booking.
The department said whenever possible they issue a misdemeanor citation in lieu of arrest to keep the jail from overcrowding and keep minor offenders from having to go to jail.
All they had to do in return was show up for their booking and court date.
According to the post, 654 people didn’t show up, and now warrants have been issued for their arrest.
If you know anything that could help deputies locate these individuals, you are urged to call or text Sgt. Keaton at 901-568-5645, call the SCSO Fugitive Bureau at 901-222-5620 or submit a tip by clicking here.
