MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An emotional night as officers paid their last respects to a man so many looked up to and strived to be.
Hundreds of blue lights could be seen from far away. A tribute to a man who made the ultimate sacrifice.
“It’s sad but I know he died a hero.”
TBI Special Agent De’Greaun Frazier, who friends called Dee, was killed in the line of duty in Jackson one week ago.
Tuesday night, fellow officers from near and far honored him with a Sea of Blue following his visitation at Bellevue Baptist.
Officers followed one another on I-40 west, then on to 240 where they looped the city.
“They support us every day so it’s just one small way to give back.”
People lined overpasses and the streets with flags waving and hands over their heart.
“That’s my way of letting them know prayers are with them and I do love them and respect them.”
Friends told WREG Frazier was hardworking.
He was a man who could immediately make you smile.
A gentle giant.
He was a father of two and just 35-years-old when he was killed.
A father. Husband. A true hero who will forever be missed.
