MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A boy hit by a car Saturday died Monday morning.

Darryl Howard was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in critical condition after the crash. He was pronounced dead at about 10 a.m. Monday.

His friend, 11-year-old Joshua McDowell, died Saturday.

Sparkel HastingsSparkel Hastings, the woman who hit the boys, was driving down Jones Road in a very erratic manner when she lost control and left the road.

The 26-year-old was charged with reckless vehicular homicide, aggravated assault, driving while her license was suspended, and violation of financial law. Her bond was set at $350,000.
