MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A second suspect has been convicted of first-degree murder for his role in the 2014 shooting of a man wanting to sell his car on Craigslist.
According to the District Attorney’s Office, Martiness Henderson, 19, was convicted of killing Larry Wilkins Jr.
Henderson and two other men arranged to meet with Wilkins, telling him they wanted to buy his black Ford Mustang off of Craigslist.
Instead, they planned to steal it.
On March 9, the four met outside Wilkins’ home at the Sycamore Lake Apartment.
Investigators said that’s when Henderson shot Wilkins six times in the back.
Brandon Vance, 23, was also convicted in the murder.
A third suspect, Walter Collins, still awaits trial.
Henderson and Vance bother received life in prison for their crimes.
