MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Washington Avenue in Downtown Memphis will be closed on Saturday, the City of Memphis announced Tuesday.
From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., the section between B.B. King Boulevard and Fourth Street will be blocked as crews work to replace the air conditioning equipment on the roof of 201 Poplar.
A crane will have to be used to move the equipment.
However, anyone traveling in the area will still be able to utilize the parking garage on Washington Avenue on either side of the closure.
