MEMPHIS, Tenn. –  Investigators said a man wielding a knife may have been responsible for three convenience store robberies in the Memphis area over the last two weeks.

The most recent was Tuesday night at the Express Mart Shell Station in the 4300 Block of Forest Hill Irene.

Surveillance video showed a man in a white t-shirt and white ball cap go up to the cash register and buy a pack of cigarettes.

As the clerk opened the register,  you see him pull out a knife, hit the cashier in the hand with it and then grab all the money.

“I was angry, but thanks to God my cashier, my coworker wasn’t hurt,” said Frank Pangwani.

Germantown Police said Monday afternoon a man with a knife robbed the Shell Station in the 7600 block of Poplar.

They also released a computerized sketch of the suspect.

Memphis Police said they were also investigating a robbery at the Tiger Mart Exxon in the 2900 block of Kirby.

They said that suspect also asked for cigarettes, threatened the clerk with a knife and got away with $100.00.

Employees told us all three stores robbed were owned by the same person.
