MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Mississippi State Auditor Shad White announced that Special Agents from his office had arrested Markeith Mosley, a Coahoma County Deputy Coroner, on one count of embezzlement.

Between June 2021 and November 2023, Mosley allegedly fraudulently converted for his own use a Fuelman card belonging to Coahoma County.
Mosley came into possession of the card due to his position as a county employee.
“We will continue to hold the line when it comes to fraud, whether it be big or small,” State Auditor Shad White said. “We will continue to work with prosecutors to make sure that taxpayer money is protected.”
If Mosley gets convicted, he could face up to $25,000 in fines and up to 10 years in prison.
