MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Shelby County in Tennessee, DeSoto County in Mississippi and Crittenden County in Arkanas.

The warning lasted until 4:30 p.m.

Just before 4 p.m., the NWS located a thunderstorm near Midtown in Memphis moving west at 25 miles per hour.

It also noted as hazards 60-mile-per-hour winds and some hail.

More than 2,000 MLGW accounts lost power.
