MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Sexual Assault Task Force will hold a meeting Monday night as part of a community engagement effort.

The meeting will be held at 5 p.m. at the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis on Union Avenue.

Memphis Mayor A C Wharton and members o the task force will update attendees on the status of the rape kit backlog and prevention strategies.

Testing of the rape kit backlog, which WREG-TV  first uncovered four years ago, has led to more than 300 rape investigations and nearly 60 indictments.
