MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A bleeding man made it to a North Memphis fire station after being shot Monday afternoon in the 1400 block of Lambert Street.
After showing up at Memphis Fire Station No. 19 in the 2200 block of Chelsea around 3 p.m., police said the critically-wounded man was transported to Regional Medical Center.
A witness said he saw a man get out of a black car and open fire on the victim before driving away.
“The dude come round in the black car, jumped out the car and fired point blank at him,” the witness said.
He said the victim then ran through yards on Griggs Avenue before making his way to the fire station.
Others in the area told WREG they heard multiple gunshots and saw a bleeding man running. They said they didn’t recognize him.
“He was shot like, like, above his eye and he was shot in the leg,” said a man who identified himself only as “T.”
Police said the suspect was driving a black Infiniti with red dealer tags.
