(Memphis) It’s a crime that will break your heart and turn your stomach all at once.
A 60-year-old South Memphis man is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl twice.
Police say a father trusted Eddie Williams to watch his daughter, but when he came to pick her up, the father says he found Williams on top of her.
Williams is being held on $1 million bond.
Williams is charged with aggravated rape. Police say the 14-year-old girl told the man “no” twice.
On a run-down street in South Memphis, investigators say the girl was raped two days in a row by Williams.
They say the girl’s father trusted him with teen.
The suspect lives with his sister.
“I don’t know. I wasn’t here,” said the suspect’s sister, Darlene Williams.
“What do you think about this?” asked reporter Sabrina Hall.
“I don’t know. I wasn’t here,” said Darlene.
Williams says she wasn’t there when her brother allegedly threatened to hurt the girl if she didn’t have sex with him Wednesday or Tuesday when he also attacked her.
That time, the teen says she was napping and woke up because Williams was fondling her.
Police say he then pinned her to a bed and raped her.
It seemed no one at the Flynn Road home had much to say about the accusations.
“What do you think about this?” asked Hall.
“It’s kind of hard to say,” said Darlene’s boyfriend, who didn’t give his name.
“I mean what he is accused of is horrific,” said Hall.
“I really can’t say,” said the man.
“I don’t know because I left and came back and the police were here,” said Darlene.
“I mean, you are acting kind of nonchalant about it but people are going to think this is horrible,” said Hall.
“Yeah,” said Darlene.
“A 60-year-old man raping a 14-year-old girl?” asked Hall.
“I don’t know nothing about it. That’s all I can say,” said Darlene.
Police say doctors gave the girl a medical exam and she did have significant injuries from the assaults.
Williams is expected in court the 17th.
