A survey by Consumer Reports finds some pharmacies charge more than others for generic prescriptions.
Secret shoppers visited 200 pharmacies that carry generic versions of five popular drugs.
The shoppers found they could pay as much as $749 more for a generic over a year at the highest-priced pharmacy, compared with the lowest.
The priciest places were CVS, Target and Rite Aid.
The least expensive were Costco and Sam’s Club.
