Sovereign Citizen Squatting In Million Dollar Mansion Grew Up In Horn Lake

(Memphis) Thirty-two year old Tabitha Gentry may be trying to make a million dollar mansion in East Memphis her  own, but Gentry grew up just south of Memphis in Horn Lake, Mississippi.

She attended Horn Lake High School.

A man who says he is her uncle told us Gentry doesn’t come around much anymore.

We asked him about her staking claim to a million dollar home.

“I just don’t know what  she is doing now. I don’t know. I don’t get in to that kinda stuff,” said Charles Townsend, who says he is Gentry’s uncle.

No word on how long ago  or when Tabitha Gentry came in contact with the Moorish Nation, an anti-government Sovereign Group.

But in her runs-ins with police, she made her beliefs clear.

April 30, 2012  police stopped Gentry’s boyfriend for driving without a seatbelt.

Police say Gentry, who was in the car, began yelling that the officer had no right to stop the vehicle and her boyfriend didn’t have to show identification.

Police say Gentry even got out of the car, walked toward them yelling, and refused to get back in the vehicle. She was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Just six months later, Tabitha Gentry had another run-in with police after officers pulled her over on South Bellevue for driving with no headlights. She showed a Sovereign Citizen I.D. but her driver’s license had been suspended.

When police told her to get out of the car, they say she locked the doors, put the vehicle in gear and ran into the officers.

They chased then arrested her.

A woman who lived in the home Gentry listed as her Memphis address says she knows Gentry well, “It was a week ago when they were over here and she showed me a picture of the house and what she was gonna do.”

Tabitha Gentry is also said to be the mother of two children.

No word on their ages.

We do know children have been spotted at the house  the Sovereigns have now claimed as their own.
