(Memphis) The turkey is trotting on.

Despite being out for spring break last week and computer glitches, the St. Mary’s Episcopal School turkey outlasted serious competition to advance to the national round of the USA Today high school sports most unusual mascot contest.

The turkey is now facing off with five other school mascots.

Voting in the national round begins tomorrow.

The school with the winning mascot will receive a $5,000 donation.

Voting begins today on the USA Today website
