(Sparta, TN) Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation purchased one of the state’s most well known landmarks.
State officials used private and public contributions to buy the 1,551-acre tract in White County that contains Virgin Falls State Natural Area.
The purchase will protect the waterfall against development projects and assure it will remain open to the public.
