Memphis, TENN — The shooting happened shortly before 1a.m. early Sunday morning.
Two people were sitting inside a vehicle at Hillview Apartments at West Hillview and Alcy when they were approached by a suspect carrying a handgun, said police.
The suspect pointed the handgun at the two victims and demanded their property.
One male told the suspect that they didn’t have anything to give, and the suspect shot the victim multiple times.
He was transported to Regional One in critical condition. The second victim was not struck.
The driver of the vehicle was able to drive to the Shell gas station on the 2400 block of Airways and call the police.
The suspect is described as a black male with short dreads wearing all black.
The investigation into this shooting is ongoing.
