MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two men are behind bars Saturday morning after Shelby County deputies say they shot and killed 30-year-old Khaled Khayat at the Zorro Market located in the 900 block of E. Shelby Drive.
Twenty-five-year-old Antonio Jones and 22-year-old Christian Hall were arrested after the two were identified by a witness who saw them going into the store and running out a short time later.
Khayat was a store clerk at the Zorro Market.
Shelby County investigators say after viewing the store’s surveillance camera the situation started out as a robbery, and the clerk was shot.
Jones and Hall were arrested and charged with first-degree murder in perpetration of a robbery.
Both are expected to be in court on Monday.
