(Oxford, MS) Investigators responded to a report of a suspicious package in the parking lot of the Oxford Mall in Oxford, MS. around 6:30 Sunday.
Police say officers deemed the package suspicious.
The parking lot was closed off for several hours.
Police say the Tupelo Bomb Squad checked the package and deemed it safe.
The Oxford Police Department and The University Police Department are continuing to investigate the incident.
The FBI, ATF, The Oxford Fire Department and Oxford Emergency Management were on the scene.
