SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — The groundbreaking for the Tanger outlet mall in Southaven is set for March 13 and will include a look at the property design and some of the 70-plus stores it will include.

Tanger estimates the outlet mall will create more than 900 full- and part-time positions, as well as 400 jobs during construction. The company also expects the center to generate approximately $7.5 million in sales tax annually.

“We welcome Tanger and Poag with their wealth of experience in developing successful, upscale retail centers,” Southaven Mayor Darren Musselwhite said. “This will be one of the highest-quality developments in the history of our city, and will create a tremendously-positive economic impact.”

The outlet mall will be located off I-69 on Church Road.
