JACKSON COUNTY, Tenn. —  The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation canceled a statewide Endangered Child Alert Tuesday evening. Briana Varela was found safe in Cincinnati, Ohio. According to the alert, Varela went missing Monday, May 25, and was believed to be headed to Toledo, Ohio. The 16-year-old was supposedly meeting up with Nathan David Lane, a registered sex offender. Lane was recently paroled, and currently has a warrant on file for sexual exploitation of a minor via telecommunications.
