MEMPHIS, Tenn. — WREG wants to recruit you to be a part of “Team Read.”
It’s the next phase of WREG`s “Memphis on a Mission.”
News Channel 3 and Shelby County Schools are teaming up to make sure all kids can read at grade level by the end of second grade.
Right now, almost seven out of ten third graders in Memphis can`t read at grade level.
Coincidentally, seven out of ten prisoners can’t read!
But we need your help.
You can watch the “Team Read” special Thursday night at 6:30 on WREG.
