(Memphis) Tennessee’s governor is helping to make getting an education a little easier for some.

Today Governor Bill Haslam signed the bill establishing an endowment of at least $35,000,000 through the State Student Assistance Corporation.

It will provide need-based grants for students at the state’s two year public community colleges.

This bill is part of the governor’s initiative to increase the number of Tennesseans with at least a two year college degree or certificate.
