Thaddeus Matthews pleads guilty to tampering with evidence

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Thaddeus Matthews pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence  stemming from an explicit photo involving a minor.

Investigators said Matthews posted a photo of a young girl under the age of 5 performing sex acts on an older male on his Facebook page.

He posted the photo while broadcasting his talk show live on the internet.

Police said he even commented on it while live.

Once arrested, Matthews claimed a woman sent him the photo and he posted it to help police identify the man.

Tuesday he was sentenced to five years in prison and fined $2,500.

WREG was told he is free tonight and will ask for probation at his hearing next month.

In a separate incident, Matthews was also charged with stalking a woman from Parkway Village.

She claimed Matthew posted pictures of her home online and beat on her door late at night, frightening four children inside who were under the age of six.
