CORDOVA, Tenn. – Caught on camera were several people breaking into cars in one Cordova neighborhood.
It happened early Sunday morning along Loganberry Lane.
Cameras on Drew Armstrong’s house captured four men going in and out of the truck parked in his driveway at least three times. He didn’t realize until the next day someone had gone through his stuff.
“They did take a firearm, which I’m really upset is on the street,” Armstrong said.
In the video, you can also see the burglars open the doors of other cars and, at one point, see all four of them walk up the street.
You also see a small, dark hatchback drive by a couple of times. Armstrong believed it was their car.
The reserve cop admitted he made a mistake leaving his truck unlocked and said he knows it could have been worse.
“I had the key to other cars and actually the house key in the console right here, and they didn’t even bother to look at them,” Armstrong said.
The recent murder of a woman in a Cordova driveway has more people like Armstrong concerned about their safety.
He said he is angry someone invaded his quiet neighborhood and already had plans to put up better cameras.
“There are some other security implements I’m thinking about putting in to make sure that if someone else comes on this driveway that I’ll know someone is out here,” he said.
Armstrong said at least four other cars on his street were hit.
