JACKSON, Miss. — A data breach at T-Mobile and Experian has left more than 15 million people nationwide and 89,000 Mississippians vulnerable.
On September 15, Experian discovered that an unauthorized person had accessed the personal information of T-Mobile’s customers, including names, addresses, social security numbers, dates of birth and identification numbers.
However, payment and banking information was not stolen, reported Ms News Now.
If you applied for service or financing between September 2013 and September 2015, you are urged to monitor your accounts.
The companies have said because of the hack, they will be offering those affected free credit monitoring and identity protection services free of charge for the next two years.
