MEMPHIS, Tenn. — On Friday, a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper was arrested after being accused of buying drugs while on duty.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation started investigating Mark Williams in early 2015.
After a six-month investigation, agents watched as Williams buying hydrocodone from an alleged drug dealer, Elliott Goode, while in uniform and on duty.
Agents charged him with delivery of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of a weapon during a dangerous felony.
Goode was charged with delivery of a schedule II controlled substance.
Both were taken to Lauderdale County Jail.
Williams’ bond was set at $10,000 while Goode’s was set at $7,500.
