Three Men Charged For Raping 14-Year-Old Girl

(Memphis) Three Memphis men are charged with rape after police say they picked up a 14-year-old girl walking near her home.   US Marshal’s Office ended-up saving the girl.

US Marshals say they were looking for a wanted fugitive in a Frayser house but they didn`t find him. Instead, they found the 14-year-old girl who had been victimized by the three adult men.

Police say DeShane Crawford, Cornelius Banks and Randy Stevenson took a 14-year-old girl to the Frayser home and raped her.

US Marshalls say they came across the victim by chance after getting a tip that a wanted fugitive might be in the house on Keystone.

Police say the 14-year-old girl was just walking down a street near her home when she was picked-up by the three men driving a white van. Police say as one drove, Banks had sex with the girl. Then when they got her to the home, they say Banks told her to have sex with the two other men.

“She gets in the car and now all of a sudden she`s trapped,” said Jeffrey Freiden, who is on the Sex Offender Treatment Board.

Freiden says if convicted, the trio will be come registered sex offenders and under community supervision for life, “Maybe these guys told themselves that this young girl could give consent but children under 18 can`t give consent, period. End of that discussion.”

All three of them have bonds set at $100,000.
