MEMPHIS, Tenn. — It may be hard to believe, but cold weather and winter really are right around the corner.
When that temperature drops, you’ll reach for a jacket.
Unfortunately, not everyone in the Mid-South can afford one.
WREG’s Chief Meteorologist Tim Simpson needs your help filling our closet at our studio with 3,000 new or lightly used coats.
Those coats will help a child in need stay warm this winter.
This year’s big drive day will be November 12.
That’s the day you can stop by 803 Channel 3 Drive, drop off some coats, and meet Tim, Claudia and the whole News Channel 3 gang.
The first 200 people to bring two coats or more will get a coupon for a free carwash.
So be sure to stop by the WREG studios from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. next Thursday.
You can also donate at several other locations around the Mid-South starting now!
