JACKSON, Miss. — The holidays are an exciting time of the year, and for many the bustling shopping season begins shortly after they finish their Thanksgiving Day feast.

Unfortunately, according to Attorney General Jim Hood, it’s also a time you need to take extra precautions to protect yourself.

“Whether you are shopping in stores or online, scammers will attempt to take advantage of innocent people when they are shopping for loved ones,” said Hood.
