TNReady tests may be delayed again

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Students across the state of Tennessee may have to wait even longer to take the TNReady Assessment.

According to Shelby County Schools, the majority of their schools have not received the TNReady testing materials.

The Tennessee Department of Education mandated paper testing for districts statewide after the online platform failed during the initial February 8 start date.

Students were suppose to take the new test starting March 10.

“We are concerned about the testing timeline, but we are in constant communication with the State to provide our schools with the latest updates,” said Bradley L. Leon, Chief of Strategy and Innovation. “We will adjust the schedule if necessary to make sure we accommodate our schools and students.”
