MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Area Transit Authority says Main Street trolleys will begin running again April 30.
A grand opening ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. that day.
From Sunday through Thursday the Main Street Trolley line will operate with two trolley cars that run every 30 minutes.
On Fridays and Saturdays the Main Street Trolley line will operate with three cars and run every 20 minutes.
The trolleys will run from 6:45 a.m. – 12 a.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 12 a.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday.
The city has not announced an opening date for the Riverfront or Madison lines yet.
The city’s historic trolley lines were grounded nearly four years ago after multiple cars caught fire.
