(Corinth, MS) An arrest has been made in the letters sent to President Obama and Mississippi Senator Roger Wicker.
The FBI confirms Paul Kevin Curtis of Corinth, MS has been taken into custody for sending letters containing Ricin.
Curtis is an Elvis tribute artist.
Senator Wicker confirms he met Curtis before when Curtis, who is an Elvis tribute artist, performed at a party he and his wife attended in 2000.
Curtis was arrested at his home just after 5pm.
The Ricin, according to CBS News was low grade and, “less than one percent toxin.”
The letters were postmarked from Memphis and dated April 8.
The letters never reached their targets as they were in caught at an off site mail processing center.
In the letters was written, “To see a wrong and not expose it, is to become a silent partner to its continuance.”
The letters were signed “I am KC and I approve this message,” a source said.
Preliminary tests on filters at a government mail-screening facility also indicated the presence of Ricin Wednesday morning, and mail from that site also was being tested, the FBI said.
